Following on from the success of our Key Worker supporting Rainbow Boards we continued our multi-coloured, fun theme on our latest limited-edition designs that were rolled out in September 2021. Our hope is to raise over £50,000 for Claire House, a local Children’s Hospice that helps seriously, and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing care and emotional support we help families smile again when life couldn’t get any tougher.

Claire House is close to our hearts here at Ashtons after they helped support a member of the Ashtons team and their family during 2019, the care they offered was unbelievably important during this difficult period – all without any Government funding. Claire House has a team of trained professionals who are as passionate about what they do as they are talented at doing it. Their staff includes nurses, physiotherapists, play specialists, counsellors and have four dedicated doctors who visit the hospice.

But Claire House is about far more than just care. It is a place for children to relax and enjoy themselves, whatever their age. They can have fun in our multi-sensory room, art room, hydrotherapy pool and jacuzzi. There is a separate wing complete with a bar, sound system and Xbox for teenagers and young adults.

Whilst their children are having fun, mums and dads get the chance to enjoy some much-needed time off together or the opportunity to spend time with their other children.

When we made the decision to help support a local charity, the decision on Claire House was perfect a perfect fit and we hope with ours and our vendors help we can help make a difference for families when they need it most.

For each house we sell, Ashtons will donate £25 to Claire House and is offering Vendors the option to match this amount. We sold over 1000 homes in 2020 (and we were closed during the first lockdown for 3 months) so we’re hopeful we can smash the target!

Not only this, we are hoping to run some charity donation events during the course of the next 12 months to help bolster the donation!!
