Founded by Steve, Kristian, Ben and Sam. Ashtons is named after the house the family grew up in 'Ash Cottage'.
Having opened the doors at our first office at 144 Padgate Lane without any properties in our window the whole family set out to spread the word of our arrival. Night after night we hand delivered flyers and letters and slowly, but surely our boards started to pop up! There was no stopping us now.
After the successful opening of our Padgate Lane Office we opened our 2nd Office in Latchford Village which has since re-located to Stockton Heath.
Our reputation is still visible around Latchford with our boards still lining the roads. Our move to Stockton Heath enabled us to offer our unique services to the rest of the WA4 homeowners where the local market is as popular as ever!
In quick succession we opened in Great Sankey and Winwick.
We were the first and still the only estate agency in both Great Sankey and Winwick. This has enabled us to really get to know the local property market 'like the back of our hand'. Knowing the historic sales, buyers needs, popular roads and local demand has enabled each office to become one of the top selling agents. Spookily, both offices were previously occupied by the local Post Offices which have relocated locally.
We were one of first agents locally to introuduce free floorplans for every home.
This may seem like an standard addition to property details these days, but the introduction of Laser Measurers meant we were able to quickly and correctly produce accurate floorplans for every home... no matter how big or small. Still to this day, some of our competitors still don't offer this free service. Similarly, from day one we only used Digital SLR Cameras. With slightly wider lenses we were able to catch the rooms of our properties in their best light. All at no extra cost.
Our St.Helens Office opened and is now one of the top agents in the town.
The St.Helens property market is mostly operated from it's town centre. Still having a thriving shopping centre and many banks the footfall locally is stronger than anywhere else. We chose Hardshaw Street because it was a the main business thoroughfare to the Town Hall and Office Blocks. The office has one of the largest property windows in the town and is constantly one of the top selling agents according to Rightmove and Zoopla. This offices covers all WA10, WA11 and WA9 homes.
Ashtons Lettings and Property Management was created due to popular demand. Now managing hundres of local homes.
Demand from local Landlords lead to the creation of Ashtons Lettings and Property Management. In 2010 we were a big sales agent, but constantly landlords would buy from us and rent through another agent... this didn't make sense to us. Im most circumstances we are able to rent a property for a landlord before they have even bought it. Which maximises return and protifability.
We made our first (of many) apperances on Homes Under the Hammer.
When we got the phone call... the excitement was high. But the reality that somebody actually had to go on TV was a little daunting. Luckily, Managing Director Ben Price was feeling confident and bought a new suit and tie and made is first appearance. Since that first encounter, Ben has been asked back and our Commercial Property Manager, Andrew Allison has also been featured. To this day, Ben and Andrew still get told that they have been on again and again when repeated.
We did it! During 2012 we had sold over £200million worth of property!
A pretty moments occasion for a local family business. We opened one (or two) bottles of bubbly! But, since then we have gone on to sell over £800 million pounds worth of property. Not bad. But, we aren't stopping there. Currently we are outselling our nearest competitor by 100% and that difference keeps getting bigger (figures supplied by Zoopla and Rightmove 2017 YTD).
Our Culcheth Office opened it's doors!
This was the next decisive office towards our Warrington domination. Culcheth is a lovely village with plenty of equally lovely homes. Our Culcheth office created a perfect bridge from Padgate and Winwick, increasing the exposure in Birchwood and Croft by offering a '2 for 1' office marketing. Whilst spreading our wings into Lowton, Leigh and Tydsley.
Our stunning Ashton-in-Makerfield Office opened and we introducted the 'Ashtons Academy' Training Programme.
Occupying one of the largest shop windows in the town, our Ashton-In-Makerfield office is one of the first and last businesses you see when entering the main high street. With a real mix of period terraced homes, 1970 detached homes and executive properties we identified the area for impressive growth... and we were wrong. Already we are the No1 selling agent. Some agents do not advertise on Zoopla) Ashtons Academy is our in-house training programme, local experts, sales training, software updates and nationally recognised qualifications was introduced to help us become the best.
We created Ashtons Financial Services (AFS). Now employing over 30 members of staff. We also had our best year ever, outselling EVERY other agent in our areas. We are still No1 to this day! (figures supplied by Zoopla and Rightmove)
The Financial Services industry went through a difficult time after the last recession. But, with the importance of fair, impartial, whole of market advice being a new necessary AFS has been able to go from strength to strength. Employing Financial Consultants, Administration and Compliance Co-Ordinators we are already ahead of many, long standing local mortgage advice companies. During 2015 we took over our main local competitor to become the top selling agent, agreeing more sales than any other across the areas we cover. To this day we are still the No1 selling agent. Our Newton-le-Willows office opened and we also opened our own Commerical Department. Plus, we won our first Industry Award at the ESTAS.
Strategically, Newton-Le-Willows was in-between our Winwick, St.Helens and Ashton Office and even though we surrounded the WA12 postcode is was proving difficult to make any inroads. It made perfect sense to open an office on the bustling high street. Since May 2016 we have become the No1 selling agent by offering our unique marketing package. 'Ashtons Platinum' Marketing Package was introduced for those homes that needed more exposure.
The desire to stand out from the crowd is a constant demand from our clients, therefore we created 'Ashtons Platinum'.
